Auroral film release

Update from Kyle:

My short film Magnetic Reconnection has pretty much finished it’s festival run, having screened over 100 times worldwide and winning a few prizes including the Edmonton Film Prize. It is now available for preorder on BluRay, if you’re readers are interested.

Kyle Armstrong has sent us a link to a short film he has produced about the Aurora. Shot on location in Churchill, MB, the film captures some really great auroral imagery.

Recent Aurora Images *UPDATED*

There has been quite a bit of solar activity recently, especially this Rememberance Day weekend. This led to a rather disturbed magnetosphere giving rise to some dazzling displays of the Northern Lights. With their cameras in the right place at the right time were the following; John Andersen, Mark Coker and Kate Campbell, Thomas Vogt, Mike Isaak, Theresa Tanner, Zoltan Kenwell, Damien Sundgren, Andrew Caitens, Jesse Martineau, Beverly Nelson, Libby Daghorn, Dan Jurak, Darcy Conn, Chris Ratzlaff, Jeff Wallace, Larry Erlendson, Kevin Tuong, Sarah Miyata-Kane and Jay Lee. Thanks for sharing!
