We received a bunch of spectacular aurora images recently from the past little while. Thanks a lot to Peter Stahl, Les Michaelson, Mathew Stewart, Zoltan Kenwell, Olivier Du Tre, Terry Bilton and Eric Frigon for sharing their photos with us!

ham radioRecently, the AuroraWatch service has helped alert local amateur radio enthusiasts pick up the signal of more distant enthusiasts using auroral propagation. On July 16, Les Michaelson who runs amateur radio station VA6LM was contacted by users as far away as Hay River, NT and Norman Wells, NT! He was also able to pick up a station broadcasting in Alaska. More information about the amateur stations can be found at:
